I’m Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of the social news website reddit. What started in an apartment back in 2005 is now one of the most trafficked websites on the Internet. Its success has depended largely, if not entirely, on one thing: making a product people love.
After starting reddit, I created a social enterprise called breadpig. We publish books featuring some of the most popular webcomics in the world, including xkcd: volume 0 and SMBC’s The Most Dangerous Game and Save Yourself, Mammal!, and we produce other geeky novelties like LOLmagnetz and Awesome Sauce. After that, I was the head marketing guy who launched hipmunk: a travel website that takes the agony out of flight and hotel search.
