How much work am I in for?
That’s kind of up to you. There’s no denying that owning rental property will require some work. This book will guide your efforts so you get the most out of the time and money you put in to your apartment building. We’ll help you get to the point where you can enjoy what’s called “passive income.”

Letter From The Author
Dear Reader,
This is ordinarily where the author thanks you for buying his book. And, indeed, I am happy you have done so. But let’s be clear: this book is emphatically not for people hoping to get rich quick or without any work. If that’s you, return it. Go watch some of those awful real estate infomercials if you want a “system” for “using other people’s money” to “steal properties,” etc. I find that stuff slimy and I’m sure you do, too.
In this book, I will show you how to accumulate wealth through the steady application of some common-sense, time-tested strategies for buying and managing apartment buildings. How do I know these strategies work? Well, I’m the fourth generation of my family to be in the apartment business. Over the past three years alone, I’ve bought and remodeled 14 different buildings, raising the rents and, therefore, the values on each one. This stuff isn’t rocket science, but it does help to have some advice from someone who’s been there before.
Buying and managing apartment buildings isn’t a quick way to get rich, but it’s a very reliable one. If you continue to work a reasonable job, follow the principles laid out in this book, behave like an adult, and don’t give up, you will eventually end up well-off. Not Jay-Z and Beyonce rich. Not Warren Buffett rich. But totally, 100% financially secure. And that’s a pretty amazing achievement in today’s world.
One more thing: I am very, very happy to help you in your quest. You can always reach me by e-mail at moses@betterdwellings.com or by phone at 310.994.0001. I LOVE talking about real estate and I’d be glad to answer any questions you have.
Meanwhile: Go out there and find your first deal. The sooner you do, the sooner you will achieve financial security.
Sincerely,
Moses Kagan
