Eri Hillyer grew up on the wild tundra of Alaska. He attended Humboldt State University for two semesters and took a double major in International Studies and French after two years studying abroad in France. He began freelancing travel and education abroad articles in 2001. He filmed a documentary on Political Asylum seekers from Iraq in Sweden (2007) titled Sand & Snow: How the War on Terror Affected Sweden. He is the Production Assistant for two San Francisco Public Affair television shows for The CW Network, 44Cable12 - Bay Area Focus and Black Renaissance. After experience as a sailing instructor on Virginia's Chesapeake Bay and a yacht delivery across the Mediterranean from the French Riviera to Venice he committed to doing his utmost to work with the America's Cup 2012.
