The same year, Meyer showed up on The Arizona Republic's "Valley's Most Fascinating People" list in December, and was honored by Time magazine in their "People Who Mattered" list. She has also shown up on as #5 on Forbes' list of "Hollywood's Top-Earning Women," after the film adaptations of her books appeared. In 2009, Meyer was listed at #82 on Vanity Fair's list of the "Top 100 Information Age Powers," and two years later, in 2011, CEOWORLD Magazine included the author in their list of Top Accomplished Women Entertainers. Meyer also landed the honor of being the second bestselling author of the decade. She was beat in popularity only by J.K. Rowling, the author of the renowned YA fantasy series, Harry Potter.

The books themselves have also garnered a large number of awards. For example, in 2008, the final book, Breaking Dawn, won the British Book Award for "Children's Book of the Year." The following year, in 2009, the entire Twilight series managed to nab the Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Book.
